In this small Indie, short narrative-based game, you take the role of the Grim Reaper… on an office job. Your job is to decide which people are going to live or die. Your choices will affect the world around you. Keep the chaos away or foil plots to destroy the world and rise through the ranks of Reapers all the way up to MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT, wow! Death and Taxes is a game in the vein of narrative-based indie titles, such as “Papers Please“, “Reigns”, “Beholder” and “Animal Inspector”, to name a few. Throughout the game, the player will encounter a variety of characters, including other Grim Reapers, demons, angels, and humans, all of whom have their own agendas and motivations. The player must carefully consider each soul’s history, behavior, and future potential before deciding whether to approve or reject their passage to the afterlife. The game’s world is procedurally generated, with each playthrough presenting a unique set of challenges and opportunities. The player’s decisions will affect not only the individual souls but also the overall balance of the afterlife, with consequences that ripple through the game’s multiple endings.
