Visually and aurally, this game is phenomenal. I don’t know where these guys came from, but the A/V of the Ascent is bedazzling in ways that I haven’t experienced in a quite some time. I expect this kind of stuff from the Big Three in terms of the aesthetics, but both the art and sound departments deserve all the kudos coming to them because they outdid the Big Three in a very obvious way. There are so many details that hide the rubber stamping, as if each section of the game is hand-crafted and tailored to suit the situation. Even the obvious “you can’t go this way” walls are blended in meticulously and if ever there was a futuristic sh*thole to be put on screen, this is one of the very best representations of it.
