Players begin by selecting a car and customizing it to their liking, with a variety of parts, colors, and decals available to personalize their ride. Once their car is ready, players can hit the track and begin competing in a variety of events, from time trials to head-to-head battles against other racers. One of the key features of Torque Drift is its realistic drifting mechanics, which require players to master the art of controlled skidding to maintain speed and momentum through turns. The game’s physics engine is designed to accurately simulate the forces at play during a drift. Players can also compete in multiplayer competitions, either in real-time against other players or in asynchronous competitions against ghosts of other players’ runs.
